The base of the light uses the technique of sand casting, a process which involves compacting sand into a casting box and pouring in liquid iron to form the shape. The shades are spun and the edges are rolled, a lacquer is then applied to protect the finish. Giving off a very warm soft glow the light can really create a cosy atmosphere in any environment. The Base light is also available in floor and table versions. Now available with Copper Shades.
