Their experience in the architectural planning and implementation of training and conference spaces made Edward Barber and jay Osgerby aware of the need to develop a new, simple table system and Map is the result. The vertical table legs made of tubular steel are fastened to the tabletops using a fan-shaped, die-cast plate. This seemingly simple technical solution not only serves to reinforce the tabletop, but also enables a range of leg positions. As a lightweight table programme, Map is ideal for flexible use in training, congress and conference rooms.     The Organic Conference Chair is a comfortable office chair that is the perfect height for dining tables and was made in 1940 as a contribution to the New York MoMA's "Organic Design in Home Furnishings" competition. Formally speaking it was ahead of its time, but owing to the lack of manufacturing techniques, never went into series production. It was not until after 1950 that it became possible to manufacture larger quantities of organically shaped seat shells and market them. The first were chairs such as Eames' famous Plastic Armchair or Saarinen's Tulip Chair. The Organic Conference Chair features a slightly higher and more forward tilted shell than the Organic Chair.
